Trusting God
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to say that I’m so thankful for the outpouring of support and encouraging messages I’ve received over the past few weeks. Thank you so much to each one of you who have supported me financially, reached out and prayed over me as I’ve continued on this journey. I’ve got quite the update ahead, some big changes, and some big opportunities for God to move!
But First! This is an update, if you don’t know what this is about feel free to go to my about page! You can click that below. For everyone who has been keeping up with my updates so far I would love if you would continue reading!
I have said from the beginning that the only way I was going to get to South Korea was if God opened the door. If God didn’t want me in Korea, I don’t believe I would have gotten this far. I’ve had so many signs and confirmations from the Father as I have walked towards Him. He has been so faithful, supplying my every need up until now, and in faith I know that He will continue to do so and I thank Him for it! This has always been His story, and it’s always been His timing.
My original plan was to go for a month, and when God gave me an opportunity to go for a year I walked towards that door in confidence. Originally, I hoped to go to Seoul in March, and when that changed to July, I was thankful for the extra time I was given. Now I am facing yet another change, and this one requiring even more faith than the last; isn’t God funny that way?
My enrollment into language school was supposed to begin in the first week of July, however this weekend I discovered that my first semester of school was changed to start at the beginning of June, bringing my departure a month earlier than I was expecting. This definitely presents some challenges but they are nothing that God can’t work through. Thankfully the only one who was surprised by this was me and not Him! He has always had a plan and it’s always been better than mine!
The only thing that changes financially is the price of a plane ticket in June as opposed to July; while that is a bit steep, I have full faith that I will be able to raise the remaining funds in due time before I depart. I have about $9,000 left to fundraise to cover the rest of my year in South Korea.
A few of you have asked if you would be able to donate on a monthly basis. That would work wonderfully! In whatever way you are able; any amount donated towards my time in Korea is extremely appreciated, whether thats a one time donation, or monthly support. You can donate through my website on the ‘give’ page. I’ve linked it below.
This change does put more pressure on fundraising the remaining amount in less time than I originally had, however, I know that God’s hand has been on this before I even knew I was going overseas in the first place. I’ve already been able to raise $11,000 and that’s only been because of your willingness to heed the call, and the faithfulness of yourself and God combined.
So here comes the part where you may be wondering if you are able to help. There is opportunity to join with me in every area.
Please join me in prayer! I need more prayer now than ever before.
Please stand in agreement with me and pray that I would be able to raise the remaining $9,000 that I need for my year in Seoul!
Please pray that there would be no issues with my visa application.
Please pray over my remaining time in the states and that I would be blessed and protected in my time of preparation.
Please continue praying over the team in Seoul.
Please consider if God is leading you to help me financially
Any amount is helpful.
Pray and ask God if He will give you a number for you to donate as a one-time or annual gift, or if He is leading you to donate a certain amount on a monthly basis.
Please also consider sharing my story! This is a journey that I have not been able to walk alone in.
Many of my donations have come through people who heard about my story, not through me, but through many of my friends and family!
If God puts me on your heart, share my story in conversation with your friends, prayer teams, or small groups. I need the prayers of others!
Another great opportunity is as simple as sharing my website on a Facebook post, or an Instagram story! You can share this update specifically with this URL. Simply copy and paste it on a Facebook post, an email, or even an instagram story!

Thank you so much for all of this. I know how faithful you all are, and how you have already been moving to help me! I can’t wait to see how God continues to move in this situation. I will continue to keep you updated over the next few weeks!
Thankful for you,
Colin
