Halfway There,
This is going to be such an exciting journey, and I can't wait to bring you along with me! Thank you to everyone who has supported me already! I’ve crossed a major milestone and I can’t wait for you to read about it!
But first! This is an update, if you don’t know what this is about feel free to go to my about page! You can click that below. For everyone who has been with me from the beginning I would love if you would continue reading!
We are almost halfway through April and I wanted to give my first public update! Thanks to so many of my donors, I am halfway to funding my year in Seoul! I have been able to raise a little over $10,000 in a little over two months of fundraising! This is been such a great reminder of God's faithfulness for me!
This $10,000 covers my year of language school tuition, and my rent. The remaining $10,000 covers my monthly expenses like food, transportation, a phone plan, and the medical insurance required by the schools. I am confident that I will be able to raise the remaining amount in good time before my departure. My first fundraising goal was to reach $10,000. Since I have reached that, I’m now able to secure my place with my Visa and Language School Applications.
I also wanted to let you know what the timeline of my departure is looking like at the moment! My original plan was to be flying out in March. I was hopeful I'd be able to make it by the end of March but unfortunately I had to push this date, and I will now officially be moving in July! We ran into a few complications involving the documents required for both my visa and my language school application. Thankfully we were able to solve these issues, however this did end up taking some time.
Because of this delay I will be enrolling into the next semester of language school which will begin in July. Thankfully with the documents I’ve prepared, and the initial $10,000 covered I have a secure timeline. I think this will end up being a much better option as it gives me a few extra months to prepare, fundraise the remaining $10,000 and make my transition as smooth as possible. This is all in God's timing and thankfully he knows the best time for me to go.
I am extremely excited and overwhelmingly thankful for all of the support I have already received. God has been extremely faithful throughout this process, and I can’t wait to step into the plans that He has made for me. Please continue to pray over me, over my fundraising, and over the team in Seoul, and if you feel lead to donate I’ve included a link with information on how to do that below.
I will continue to update this blog with major milestones, but if you would like even more regular in-depth updates please subscribe to my mailing list! You can do that at the bottom of this page!
